Ankurith® · Holistic Wellness
Ankurith Jal Neti Salt is a fine-grind, 100% pure, non-iodised nasal irrigation salt — balanced with sodium bicarbonate so every rinse feels gentle, never stinging.
Why Jal Neti
Jal Neti is one of the six shatkarmas of Hatha Yoga — a simple saline rinse that flushes the nasal passages. In cities thick with dust, smoke and pollen, that daily reset matters more than ever.
A gentle saline flow helps wash away dust, pollen, smoke particles and thickened mucus that settle in the nasal passages through the day.
Regular nasal irrigation is widely practised to support relief from seasonal congestion, allergy flare-ups and that heavy-headed blocked feeling.
Clear passages mean deeper, quieter breathing. Traditionally, Jal Neti is performed before pranayama and meditation for exactly this reason.
The formulation
Plain table salt is iodised, coarse and often carries anti-caking agents — none of which belong in your nose. Ankurith is built for irrigation and nothing else.
Each 5 g serving carries 4.3 g sodium chloride and 0.7 g sodium bicarbonate. The bicarbonate buffers the solution so the rinse stays soft on the nasal lining instead of burning.
| Sodium chloride (NaCl) | 4.3 g per 5 g serving |

| Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO₃) | 0.7 g per 5 g serving |

The collection

Fine-grind, 100% pure and non-iodised, with a measured scoop for a consistent rinse every time. 385 g — around 77 servings.

A lightweight, easy-grip neti pot with a contoured spout sized for adult nostrils — smooth, steady flow with no leaking.
The practice
Stir one level scoop (5 g) into 500 ml of lukewarm water until fully clear.
Pour the solution into your Jal Neti pot.
Lean forward over a basin, tilt your head to one side and rest the spout in the upper nostril.
Breathe calmly through your mouth and let the water pass out through the lower nostril. Repeat on the other side.
Blow your nose gently — never hard — to clear any remaining water.
Made for the nose
Coarse crystals sink and scratch. Ankurith is milled fine so it dissolves almost the moment it hits lukewarm water — leaving a clear, evenly mixed solution with nothing left to irritate the nasal lining.
No anti-caking agents. No iodine. No colour, fragrance or preservative. Just the two ingredients the rinse actually needs, in the ratio it needs them.
Free with every jar
Our illustrated Jal Neti handbook walks you through the practice from the very first rinse — the right water, the right temperature, the right head angle, and the mistakes that make beginners give up on day two.
Questions
Use water that has been boiled and cooled to lukewarm, or distilled or sterile water. Do not use untreated water straight from the tap — this is the single most important safety rule of nasal irrigation, and it applies to every brand of neti salt, not just ours.
It shouldn't. Stinging usually means the solution is too weak, too strong, or too cold. Stick to one level 5 g scoop in 500 ml of lukewarm water — the added sodium bicarbonate in Ankurith is there specifically to keep the rinse gentle.
We'd rather you didn't. Table salt is iodised and usually contains anti-caking agents, and its coarse grind dissolves slowly and unevenly. Ankurith is non-iodised, additive-free and milled fine for exactly this use.
Many practitioners do it once daily, in the morning on an empty stomach. If you're new to it, start two or three times a week and build up. If you have an ongoing ENT condition, recent nasal surgery, a fully blocked nose or an ear infection, speak with your doctor first.
The 385 g jar holds roughly 77 servings at one 5 g scoop per rinse — a little over two months of daily practice.
